I think it’s great that Stitches has received so much acclaim, this link talks about how Stitches: A memoir by David Small is only the second comics work to receive this distinction. This is a pretty significant accomplishment, as it will help to recognize graphic novels as more than just a picture book. Graphic novels are a fantastic way to say what words cannot even begin to describe.
